Returning Home

For the serving

Depending on where you have been and what you have seen depends on how you will feel about returning home. Sometimes it's nice and easy, and other times the daily grind of life seems rather pointless when you have been fighting for your life for 6 months or more.

If you do have trouble adjusting, seek help as soon as you can, talk it over with those you were deployed with, or if you don't feel you can do that, speak to your padre. They will provide you with a good list of contacts, and religion is only mentioned if you want it to be.

There will soon be a list of links that may help you on this page

For the family

Being at home can be just as tough as being away, and the build up and excitement of your partner, son or daughter coming home can be quite a lot to take. You will normally be given the name of a person staying at the unit during the deployment to ask any questions you may have. But also the Hive is a great place to go, as you will meet others in your situation
