What is a PVR
PVR stands for Premature Voluntary Release, and its the word used to describe
people leaving the Armed Forces before they have completed their contract.
On this site (perhaps incorrectly), we also use this term to cover everybody
leaving the Armed Forces, be it on redundancy, medical discharge, or just end of
